So true. I still end up falling prey to everyone getting a vote for read alouds at certain times of day. So many good books! So many opinions! Such loud voices and strident opinions! Yeeks. It's hardest to know when to abandon a low stacks outing for a home day when requested. Sometimes it's the right call, sometimes not. Sigh...

Yes, asking two kids if everyone should together leave the house is a losing game, and I too continue to fall for it sometimes. I find that things I would like to do go over better when I prioritize an hour in the morning in which my kids can genuinely choose what to do and I will make myself available to them to assist as needed.

I find this helpful for myself! I’m actually planning to write about it at some point. Making fewer decisions removes uncessary stress on a daily level.
