How we homeschooled today #23
Lots of maths, lots of play, a little French
My daughter completed a little homemade spelling worksheet I made for her last night.
Both children worked in their Adding and Subtracting books for nearly an hour (!), as well as our Multiplying and Dividing lift-the-flap book.
My daughter did some drawing using a How to draw Pokemon book.
A friend came to play and we all played 21 with our Tiny Polka Dot cards, before they went out into the garden together. Lots more playing with friends in the garden later in the afternoon too.
Independent reading (sharks, and St George and the Dragon)
While they did some colouring I read aloud one of our One Third Stories French books, and then they joined me on the sofa as I read them the story set in Ancient Greece that came with yesterday’s delivery from Mysteries in Time.
Another French book from One Third Stories at teatime, plus a little extra French.
Bedtime story: Sweep (a lovely story about getting swept up in a bad mood)
Bedtime reading: The Little Train by Graham Greene
Have a lovely weekend!
