A light day for lessons because we spent all day out and about with family. There was pizza, ice cream, cuddles, and book shopping.
Before we left the house my daughter (7) read lots of her Ramona book (she was devouring the series, stopped half way through, and is now going back to the beginning after several months off), and my son (5) read Arthur and Lancelot (a comic-strip style retelling). My daughter did some more work in her new times tables book, and we did a very quick session (ten minutes or less) on the following:
Revising the Greek word we learnt yesterday and adding a new one.
Practising the French from yesterday.
Revising that 0.5 means 5 tenths and is the same as a half.
Today’s cards from Multiplication by Heart.
There was lots more reading while we were out, and my husband compèred another edition of the Kings and Queens of England Quiz (grown-ups lost, by a mile).
But really it was all about the pizza, the ice cream, and the cuddles.
