A light day as we spent most of it with a special friend and her new baby.
Translated another Greek word
Read books in bed
Painting and playdough
Multiplication by Heart
Some mental maths while we were out and about
Trip to the library where we borrowed books on maths, science, coding, myths, history, and some fiction
Practised our French weather vocab
Got home and I weighed myself with and without the backpack so we could work out how heavy the library books were and whose estimate was closest. They were 12kg, which was a smaller number than I was expecting!
While the children had tea I read from The Story of Science about germs and diseases and Semmelweis, Snow and Pasteur.
Bedtime stories: Stuart Little, and The Orchard Book of Mythical Birds and Beasts
Reading in bed: The Story of Pirates and The Story of Pegasus
I’m going to try a daily ‘How we homeschooled today’ post, with a longer post on Fridays. Let me know in the comments if there’s anything you’d like to see covered. Next up: screen time.
