I love Theodora! I went to Ravenna when I was studying art history just to see her!

Oh wow! I would love to go and see those mosaics. I’m jealous! It’s mind-boggling that they are nearly 1,500 years old.

The mosaics at the Hagia Sofia are also amazing!!! Especially for the mosaic nerds among us ;-)

Yes! We were looking at them on the iPad yesterday actually. What an incredible building. Another place on my list. I am happy to count myself amongst the mosaic nerds!

Yes please to finding a pen pal! Keira is about to turn four and is very interested in learning to read and write. We live in Ash in Surrey (UK).

I so enjoyed reading this, and I went down a little rabbit hole of exploration to get to know a bit more about Empress Theodora. While I do not have children, I love learning, and it is just so refreshingly beautiful to read a bit about how you approach learning and guiding your children on their learning/ educational journeys.🪄🤓✨ And the pen pal piece is so fun as well--I remember my own pal experiences as a child so fondly and how it really served the imagination and a deeper interest in understanding others, all of which help children cultivate their seeds of empathy, which you seem to help them tend to so well. 🌱🌿

Again, thanks for sharing some of your family’s learning journey here--it is a genuine privilege to read about. 🙏🤗📖📚🧮

Veronica this is such a lovely and encouraging comment to leave. Thank you so much, what a great way to begin my day! So pleased to hear you have fond memories of your own pen pal experiences too—I hope I can bring that to some more children today 😊
