Unrelated to this post (although I did grab A Pebble in my Pocket from the library and it's great), but I've been meaning to say how much I appreciate hearing from someone who homeschools without a car or a dishwasher and who lives in a small house with too many books. I know no one else in my community who fits this description so it's nice to know I'm not alone! I would love to fit a dishwasher into our tiny kitchen one day though.

Ha! I’m here in dishwasherless solidarity, Alina! Although frankly I’d rather I wasn’t! The good thing is though, if we ever do become dishwasher owners we’ll feel like we’ve won the lottery. Just imagine.

So pleased you like A Pebble in my Pocket too!

I definitely miss the dishwasher more than the car! More uncommon where I live not to have a vehicle but I'm pretty happy with our cargo bike.

Yes same, the car isn’t really an issue mostly, whereas I wish for a dishwasher multiple times daily. One day…

I'm excited to check out the chess worksheets. My boys (9 and 6) love chess. Thanks!

I hope they like them! My son really enjoyed them. He liked setting the problems up on a real board so he could try different solutions.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll suggest that to my boys.
