A lot of emotional regulation. Yes! I homeschool my three sons ages 4, 6, and 7 And I’m constantly taken off guard by how my main job seems to be nurturing and training them in emotional regulation. Such important work.
Wonderful! I've just subscribed over at Owl By Night. It's nice to find another writer who is homeschooling for reasons other than conservative Christianity. Here in the US, it seems that the religiously homeschooling crowd is in the vast majority, or at least they are the ones I see most in the Facebook curriculum groups and the homeschool conferences here. I've felt a bit out of place because of our secular educational bent, to be honest. Anyhoo, I've started reading through the archives (both Catherine's here and yours at Owl By Night) and enjoying them very much!
Thanks Rebecca, I'm glad you're enjoying my writing! Some of the online curriculums we've looked at in the past have been heavily Christian (which is fine) but that's not our thing either, so it's always refreshing to see people educating from home for reasons besides religion.

Right?! Never realised that's what we were getting into when we took ok homeschooling, but glad of it now.
Well-said -- never realized it going into it and also glad of it now.
Keep up the good work!
I’ve heard from a few friends that puppies are just as tiring as newborns, so well done for managing the juggle!
Thank you, your friends are not wrong lol.
😅
You are doing an excellent job!
Thank you Dee Dee!
